136 of the best one-piece multi-tools and credit card multi-tools

They’re known by a few different names. Multi-Tool MacGyvers will call them a “credit card multi-tool” if they are flat and can be slipped into a wallet. If they don’t have any moving parts, they are usually called a “one-piece multi-tool” or a “solid state multi-tool”. Whatever you call them, browse through this list and you’ll see they come in an amazing variety of shapes and sizes. From the under $10 Chinese made to the handcrafted by metal artisans.

It seems anyone with a CNC machine who knows how to cut a bottle opener shape and a screwdriver head out of a metal can release a one-piece multi-tool. Crowd-funding sites like Kickstarter have had their part to play as well with new designs being funded regularly. A portion of them have some common tools and function with what I call the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener being the most common of all the functions.

A lot of the tools can be used for multiple purposes. For example, a pry bar with the right profile can be used as a box opener, scorer, scraper and flathead screwdriver. Use your imagination with some of these little multi-tools and you’ll be able to beat the number of functions claimed by the maker.

But when you have a need to take a multi-tool that’s light and easy to carry, I bet there are more than a few on this list that you will think are worth carrying on you. Use them as a standalone every day carry, hang them off your keychain, use them as a secondary or back up tool for your full-sized multi-tool or throw them in your bug out bag. Take a look at the credit card multi-tools and one-piece multi-tools on the market today.

1. Credit Card Multi-Tool Knife with Rope – $7.49
Credit Card multi-tool knife with rope

The guys at The Multi-Tool Shop have done it again and helped us know exactly what this credit card multi-tool does just by reading the product name. The knife and the rope are the highlights here. There are a lot of credit card multi-tools on the market but not many of them include a knife or rope. One of the reasons rope is not common is because it makes it a bit harder to slip into a slot in your wallet. Of course, you don’t have to carry it in your wallet but if you do, I’m sure you can work it out. Besides the knife, there are 2 other cutting tools. A saw and a Twine knife. Not bad. Add a 6 angle box wrench, imperial and metric rulers, 2 sizes of flathead screwdriver, lanyard hole and that’s about it. Of course, they haven’t forgotten the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at The Multitool Shop

2. Move Comb Multi-Tool – €12.95 ($15.55)
Move Comb by Raedical

Here’s a multi-tool with a comb for the neat and tidy MacGyver. Comb your beard or comb the wax onto your surfboard. Just don’t get them mixed up! There are a couple of spoke wrench sizes, 3/8″ base wrench and other wrench sizes, hex bit holder and 1/4″ hex bit driver. Hook to your keychain with the lanyard hole and use the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener to quench your thirst.

Available at Raedical

3. NexTORCH NexTool Happy Hero Multi-Tool – $11.95
NexTORCH Happy Hero Multi-Tool

Pretty easy to see where this multi-tool gets its name from right? The top of this EDC 3.2 inch (8.1 cm) tool looks like a happy hero’s head. It’s a clever head because you can use it for a bottle opener and an S-Biner as well as a lanyard hole. Pretty smart right. The happy hero has different sized arms so I guess this little guy works out one arm more than the other! At least it means you get a small screwdriver on one side and a medium screwdriver on the other. Use the legs to pry stuff like nails and the body for wrenching on various sized nuts.

Available at KnifeCenter.

4. NexTORCH NexTool Glacial Pegasus – $11.95
NexTorch Glacial Pegasus

The Pegasus is a winged stallion from Greek mythology. I guess this is where the Glacial Pegasus gets its name from. The “Glacial” part I don’t get and this particular Pegasus doesn’t seem to have any wings. What it does have is a body that’s a bottle opener surprisingly useful for opening bottles with caps. It also comes with a screwdriver on its head like a unicorn, a pry bar nose, and lanyard hole eye. Use the Pegasus’ neck for wrenching different size nuts and the rope cutter for you know what. To top it all off, there’s an S-Biner all wrapped up in its 2.9 inch (7.4 cm) length.

5. 11-in-1 Pocket Survival Credit Card Multi-Tool – $5.50
11-in-1 Credit Card Multi-Tool

3 of the sides of this credit card multi-tool have 3 different functions – a metric ruler, scraper/box opener and a saw. Obviously, they couldn’t think of another function for the 4th side! What the maker did think about was adding 4 box wrench sizes, and another slot for another 2 box wrenches. And a butterfly wrench as well. There’s a flathead screwdriver on one corner plus a can opener and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Stick it in your wallet or use the hole to attach it to your keychain or whatever you carry.

6. Explore Mate 11-in-1 Survival Card with Beer Opener – $9.95
Explore Mate Credit Card Mullti-Tool

If you like the 11-in-1 Pocket Survival Multi-Tool above but just wish it was available in black and didn’t cost more than $4.45 than the silver version, your wish has been granted. Enter the Explore Mate which has all the same 11 functions but in black. Great for those stealthy survival missions. If I was a betting Multi-Tool MacGyver, I would put money on it that all these 11-in-1 credit card multi-tools come out of the same factory in China. Nothing wrong with that if you’re looking for an easy way to carry some of these tool functions. Note from the product name that rather than the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener on other 11-in-1’s, this one only opens a beer. If you want to take the risk, you could try opening non-beer bottles as well!

Available at Amazon

7. Lever Toolcard Pro – $28.00
Lever Toolcard Pro

This credit card multi-tool comes in a couple of different colors  (black and bead blasted silver) and with the option of adding a clip. The idea of the clip is that you use it as a money or bank card holder so you don’t even have to have a wallet to carry the Toolcard. As standard, these all come with a sleeve so if you don’t want to slip it into a slot in your wallet you can carry it somewhere else and it’s still protected. I’m not going to list all the functions the Toolcard has because there are just too many! I count over 40 functions. Wrenches play a big role as do flat and Phillips head screwdrivers. There are all the functions associated with having a pry bar and of course Lever haven’t forgotten the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener as one of the tools.

Available at Amazon

8. Vargo Keychain Tool 1.2 – $21.99
Vargo Keychain Tool

This funky shaped titanium keychain multi-tool gives you 6 useful functions in its 2.7 inch (6.9 cm) length. 3 closed metric sized wrenches – 5, 6 and 8mm and a reverse opening can opener top the bill. Then there’s a flathead screwdriver and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Rather than the usual cutout hole to attach a split ring, Vargo have machined the hole proud of the body of the 1.2 even though they had plenty of spare space. I guess you either think that’s a cool idea or it’s wasting space.

Available at Option Gray

9. Vargo Titanium Swing Blade Tool Classic – $27.17
Vargo Swing Blade Classic

Not too much ‘multi’ in this tool but there is one unusual tool that I bet you haven’t seen on another credit card multi-tool. The swing blade refers to the 420HC stainless steel razor blade that swings on the titanium base plate to extend to the front. It’s locked into position by the same type of action as a liner lock for knives. You also get a small flathead screwdriver and a large one as well on two corners. There’s a lanyard hole for easy access. The big cutout is for the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Something different for sure.

Available at Amazon and Option Gray

10. Schrade Moe Pry Bar – $59.99
Schrade Moe Pry Bar

If you want to demolish something, then this is a multi-tool worth looking at. It’s 16.8 inches long (42.7 cms) and weight 3 lbs (1.36 kgs). The powder-coated finish is available in black or green covering the 1055 carbon steel bar. The main tool is the pry bar but it also includes a pull hook, chopping blade, nail pull, hammer pommel and scraper blade. This is the first multi-tool I’ve come across with an oxygen tank wrench so if you think that might come in handy, this is the demolition multi-tool for you.

Available at Amazon.

11. Schrade Multi-Functional Pry Tool – $22.88
Schrade Multi-Functional Pry Tool

This stainless steel pry tool gets its ‘multi-functional’ name from the other tools it packs into its 5.50 inch (14 cm) – a ceramic glass breaker, punch point, rescue hook, 1/4″ wrench and a flat head screwdriver. Use the lanyard hole to hang this 3 oz (85 gms) multi-tool off your clothing or something you’re carrying with you. Or stick it in the included polyester sheath and clip it on your belt. Schrade are the champions of the oxygen wrench so all you oxygen tank fans should check this tool out and the rest of the Schrade range and choose your favorite wrench.

Available at KnifeCenter.

12. Wallet Ninja 18-in-1 Multi-Tool – $9.95
Wallet Ninja 18-in-1

Yes, you read that correctly. 18 tools in a credit card sized multi-tool. That more than most full-sized multi-tools are giving us! So what tools can we carry in our wallet? There are 4 screwdrivers including one for your glasses. There are can, box and letter openers, nail puller, peeler, 6 Imperial hex wrenches (hex bits not included), and 2 rulers. Slip another card into the phone stand slot to give you something to rest your cell phone up against. With 18 tools, surely there has to be the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener? Rest easy, there is a bottle opener. Available in a number of different patterns to match your outfit.

Available at KnifeCenter and Amazon

13. Klecker Knives Daily Carry Pliers – $12.00
Klecker Knives Daily Carry Pliers

We Multi-Tool MacGyvers have seen a lot of different shapes and sizes of pliers before but I haven’t seen a pair of pliers like this before. Have you? Certainly not at 2.6 inches (6.6 cm) long. In their open position, these pliers actually look like a pair of salad spoons or robot arms. The way they work is to put the plier head around the thing you want to squeeze and slide the moveable lock down the arms until the head has tightly grasped the object. Something different for sure. They have an opening at the top so you can hook them onto a belt loop. These aren’t really a multi-tool and they aren’t one-piece either but they are so interesting that I had to include them in this list.

Available at Amazon

14. The Ringtool Keychain Multi-Tool Wrench Screwdriver & Bottle Opener – $5.99
Ringtool Keychain Multi-Tool Wrench

Another imaginatively named one-piece multi-tool. What more needs to be said about what this circular multi-tool that’s not given away in the name? It’s only 1.6 inches (4 cms) in diameter so easily attaches to a keychain and it’s aimed at bicyclists or anyone who has a use for a flathead or Phillips screwdriver, spoke wrench, a 3, 5, 6 or 8mm hex bit. Included in the package is also a split ring and a separate flathead hex bit. Impressively, they have found room to include the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at The Multitool Shop

15. Ringtool – $28.00
Ringtool – Made in USA

This is the USA made version of the Ringtool above. I suspect the $5.99 version isn’t made in the USA. This $28 version differs slightly in that it doesn’t include spoke wrenches or the separate split ring with hex attached. It’s bigger too, being 2.5 inches (6.4 cms) versus 1.6 inches. Available in silver and black. Check the images of both tools and in a MacGyver situation, I know which Ringtool I would want to pull out of my pocket.

Available at Reductivist

16. Leatherman Number 10 – $11.00
Leatherman Number 10

Number 10 is currently the last number in Leatherman’s range of one piece multi-tools. Do I need to say that this 2.5 inch (6.5 cm) one-piece includes a bottle opener? Didn’t think so. Besides the bottle opener you get a flathead screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver and a box opener. That’s an opener, not a cutter so don’t expect to shave with it. There’s 5 different sizes of metric box wrenches and topping off the list is a split ring hole or lanyard hole for your choice of attachment to your stuff. Want the imperial size wrenches, have a look at Leatherman’s Number 6.

Available at KnifeCenter

17. Leatherman Number 6 – $11.00
Leatherman Number 6

A very close cousin of Leatherman’s Number 10, the only difference here is that the box wrenches are imperial sized (5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2 and 5/8). That means you also get the compulsory bottle opener.

And the flathead screwdriver and Phillips screwdriver and a hole you can use to attach something to and then attach it to something you carry with you. Simple.

Available at KnifeCenter

18. Smock Knives SmocKey Pocket Tool – $55.00
Smock Knives SmocKey

The price for this 3.25 inch (8.3 cms) hints that it might be made from a metal more exotic than stainless steel and indeed it is. The titanium SmocKey comes in a range of colors and features a pry bar at one extremity and a lanyard hole at the other. Tie some paracord to the lanyard hole or use the included split ring to attach it to your keychain. The hex hole is useful if you have some hex bits with you but is simply a decorative feature if you don’t have any.

Available at Amazon

19. The Cranker – $40.00
The Cranker

Another titanium one-piece multi-tool with 12 tools. 8 sizes of box wrenches dominant the interior. There’s a hex bit driver here as well and a split ring hole. A saw takes up most of the real estate of one side while a scraper with ruler markings takes up most of the other side. Add a nail puller, pry bar, flathead screwdrivers and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Coins for Anything

20. Swagger Drop – $38.99
Swagger Drop

No idea with this little multi-tool gets its name from. Fitting in its compact 2.4 inch (6.2 cm) length, this teardrop-shaped titanium one-piece has a belt cutter, 6 wrench sizes and a pry bar that can also be used as a flathead screwdriver. Half of the Swagger Drop’s size is taken by the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Secure it to your keychain by the thoughtfully included split ring hole.

Available at Coins for Anything

21. GeeKey Multi-Tool – $25.00
GeeKey

The name tells you that this multi-tool is based on a key and ideal for carrying 16 tools on your keychain. It’s a new design crowded funded through Indiegogo. There are some of the usual tools here like a wire stripper, scoring tip, serrated edge, ruler, bit driver and various sizes of closed wrenches. A few of the tools have a dual purpose, like the spoke key that doubles as a wire bender or the screwdriver head that handles flat and Phillips screws. The GeeKey wins my award for the most unusual ‘tool’ on any one-piece multi-tool with its smoking pipe. Yep, you can use this to have a relaxing pipe on your porch. Pack a little of your favorite tobacco in the bowl, add fire and inhale. Wow. They have thought of everything including the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available from getgeekey

22. MRF Lumberjack – $15.oo
Lumberjack

Can’t figure out why this one-piece multi-tool is called the ‘Lumberjack’ and its most prominent function is a comb. Are lumberjacks known for having well-kept hairstyles? Or perhaps Lumberjack’s have a lot of use for box wrenches as this tool has 14 different sizes. Then there’s a scrapper/box opener on one corner and a flathead screwdriver on the other. And the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener of course.

Available at mrfmts

23. Klecker Knives Daily Carry Pliers – $139.95
Klax Lumberjack Ax Multi-Tool

This is probably not what you picture when you think of one-piece multi-tools. Yes, its main function is an ax. But within its 7.5 inch (19 cm) length, it has 10 tools built in. There’s a range of wrench sizes and a 1/4″ hex bit driver, carabiner, ruler and hammer head on the back of the ax. There’s also a few other cutting tools – besides the obvious ax! An Ulu knife and a gutting hook/rope cutter. Attach a lanyard or show how tough you are by hanging the Lumberjack off your keychain using the split ring hole. When you’re finished clearing your campsite, open a cold one with the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Amazon

24. LoKi MUT Titanium – $80.00
LoKi MUT Titanium

This 14 tool multi-tool comes in a range of different materials and finishes, including this titanium version. I count about 9 different sizes of wrenches which take up most of the interior. A decent sized pry bar with shallow nail puller slot takes up the space on one end while the other end has a lanyard hole with lanyard included. A hex bit driver is here and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at LoKi Tactics

25. Klecker Knives Daily Carry Pliers – $8.99
Green Beret Credit Card Multi-Functional

Not that different in design from a number of other credit card multi-tools, the Green Beret’s claim to product fame is the big cat’s head. Not just for looks, the cat is a can opener, peeler/scraper, and headphone wrap. There’s a range of wrench sizes as well as a number of tools to open things, like boxes, letters, and bottles. Don’t miss the cellphone stand. 3 for $8.99 so you can have one in a few handy spots.

Available at Amazon

26. GRIPsher Compact Multi-Tool – $37.00
GRIPsher

Another innovative multi-tool crowd-funded through Kickstarter. Not actually a one-piece multi-tool so shouldn’t be on this list but it’s small and interesting so I thought you might like a look. The ‘grip’ part of the name refers to the claws that grab onto a hex bit or something else you want to grab on to. Do it in the dark with the glowing green nylon Like a full sized multi-tool, this compact has a pair of pliers with wire cutter. Two sizes of Phillips screwdrivers and two flathead screwdrivers stick out of each corner. Spoke wrench and a slot wrench, mini pry and a knife amongst other tools. Of course, there’s the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Comes in an all silver and all black versions.

Available at Kickstarter

27. The FELTul Eagle – $49.99
FELTul

This unusually shaped 3 inch (7.5 cm) titanium multi-tool has two prongs sticking out the bottom. The prongs are a 4mm hex and a 5mm hex key. There are a total of 11 functions including a 1/4″ bit driver, a couple of wrenches, pry bar, and a key loop. Yep, the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener is here too.

Available at Feltul

28. TT – Fire Pocket Tool – $20
TT-Fire

This thing is tiny, not much bigger than a quarter coin. For its size, it packs in 5 functions, some of them not the most common functions you see on these one-piece multi-tools. For example, it has a wingnut slot. Use this to assist in turning a wingnut. I guess if you want to make sure it’s really tight or it’s really tight and you need to loosen it. There’s also a wrench for oxygen tanks. Finally on the uncommon function list is the slot for a Leatherman Bit. Not a bad idea for a lightweight carry if you already have a Leatherman bit kit and just want to carry that and the TT-Fire. More common is the 1/4″ Hex bit driver. That’s it besides a key ring hole. If you prefer, you could just drop this into the coin slot in your wallet. Just don’t give it someone for a tip when you meant to give them a quarter!

Available at Pockettools and Knives

29. TT-Axe Pocket Tool – $25
TT-Axe

It’s nice when you can look at a multi-tool and guess its name. The TT-Axe has 5 functions in its axe outline. There are 2 parts of the axe that you can use as a pry bar or small flathead screwdriver. One at either end. A cutout in the axe head lets you slip a 1/4″ hex bit you already have in your pocket (because you’re a Multi-Tool MacGyver) into it. You might also have in your pocket Leatherman’s bit kit which you can use with the TT-Axe. I think they have missed a function here. The axe head could have been chiseled to be a box opener or a scraper. Maybe version 2? Of course, there’s the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Make sure you can always open a cold one by attaching it to your keychain through the key ring hole.

30. Punisher Tool – $99
Punisher

The Punisher is for us Multi-Tool MacGyvers who believe just because we might be in a tight situation, it doesn’t mean we have to have unruly hair and beards. The ‘Punisher’ part of the name refers to the covert use of this multi-tool as a self-defense tool. Made of titanium, with an anodized tumbled finish accounts for the premium price. You also get a range of Imperial and metric wrench sizes. O-rings hold your favorite hex bit and the 1/4″ driver gives you the way to use it. “Compulsory’ bottle opener included.

Available at Darrel Ralph

31. Zootility Tools Headgehog – $12.95
Zootility Tools Headgehog

Note the cunning name of this multi-tool. The ‘Head’ part of the Headgehog is a reference to the comb you, yes you guessed it, use on your head. It has 7 functions in total and is only 1 mm thick and sized to fit in your wallet. The ‘compulsory’ bottle opener and the common hex wrench that will handle 4 sizes of nuts and bolts are accompanied by an ingenious Phillips screwdriver that isn’t even a cross shape. Not common to one-piece multi-tools is a phone kickstand and a money clip. And then there’s the so-called ‘chip clip’ which is just a slot where you can use to close a bag of chips or any packet like that.

Available at Amazon

32. Cha-O-Ha Design Everyday Carry Card – $47.00
CHA-O-HA Every Day Carry Credit Card

One of the reasons this is called an Everyday Carry is that it’s made out of the knife stainless steel – S35VN – and because unusually it has a tapered straight edge blade. Not unusually, it has a bottle opener and a flathead screwdriver and Phillips screwdriver. Add in a pry bar with a nail lifting slot and a lanyard hole. But the biggest functional focus of the Cha-O-Ha EDC is the 23, yes 23, open and closed hex wrenches in both metric and imperial sizes. Wow, not bad for something that fits in your wallet.

Available at Amazon

33. Extrema Ratio TK 2.0 – $90.95
Extrema Ratio T.K. 2.0

This stealthy 3.9 inch (10 cm) one-piece multi-tool has a couple of features that will suit the weapons enthusiast. The central slot for use as a screw-pin shackle wrench and the key for firearm optic regulation and calibration will come in handy. Then there’s the pry bar and 8mm and 10mm hex screw keys. Don’t forget the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener and can opener and you have a stylish and practical Made in Italy multi-tool. Not cheap though…..

Available at KnifeCenter

34. Griffin Pocket Tool – $35.00
Griffin Pocket Tool Brass

This Griffin comes with a cool brass finish that should age gracefully with time and use. There are 11 features in this tool if you count the pocket clip which is really just a slot in the Griffin you can slip onto your pocket. Call it 12 if you count the 5/16 inch hex wrench that can be used as a lanyard hole. One of those 12 is, of course, a bottle opener, it’s compulsory. One end of this Griffin is a pry tool which can also be used as a flat head screwdriver and the other end is a scoring tool. As far as I can tell, a scoring tool is just a piece of metal you can scrape along something to scratch a mark on it. Finishing off the feature list are hex wrenches for 4, 5, 6 and 7mm nuts and bolts. Also comes in titanium and stainless steel versions)

Available at Amazon

35. Key-Bak Keychain Multi-tool – $7.99
Key Bak Keychain Multi-Tool

At 2.8 inches (7.1 cms) and 1.6 oz (45 gms) this little multi-tool is no hardship to carry on your keychain. One of the tools will be particularly useful to cyclists – a spoke key. Not much good to you if you don’t have a bike though. More commonly useful is the mini pry tool, flathead screwdriver and box wrenches in Imperial sizes 1/4″, 5/16″ and 3/8″. If you need to measure something in either Imperial or metric, the Key-Bak has you covered as long as the thing you want to measure isn’t too big. I nearly forgot, surprise, surprise, there’s a bottle opener here too.

Available at Knife Center

36. Klecker Knives Griffin Wrench Bottle Opener Multi-Tool – $12.00
Klecker Knives Griffin Wrench

Like the other Griffin on this list, there’s a pocket clip here which is just a slot opening in the multi-tool. There’s also a pry bar with a nail slot and 4 wrenches in imperial sizes 5/16, 9/32, 1/4 and 3/16. And a bottle opener – of course! Length 2.62 inches (6.7 cms).

Available at Amazon

37. Harverport Keychain EDC Mini-Tool 10-1 – $9.95
Harverport Keychain Multi-tool Emergency

The biggest tool in this 2.5 inch (6.65 cm) one-piece multi-tool is the bottle opener with a keyring or lanyard hole. The other end has a pry bar with nail puller slot which doubles as a cord cutter and triples as a flathead screwdriver. Not bad. Apparently, it’s also a box cutter so it has a sharp enough edge to damage some cardboard. For the cyclists, there are two sizes of spoke wrench and for everyone else, there are the 7, 8 and 10mm wrenches. 10 functions in all.

Available at Amazon

38. Klecker Knives Daily Carry Wrench – $8.00
Klecker Knives Daily Carry Wrench

Another daily carry multi-tool from Klecker Knives. Called the Wrench because basically, that’s all it does. In its 2.6 inch length (6.6 cm) length it can handle nuts and bolts in both imperial and metric sizes – 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 inches and 5/16 and 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9mm. It has some sort of hook arrangement at the top which you can hopefully figure out how to attach to something.

Available at Amazon

39. MeanHoo EDC Multi-Functional Pocket Tool – $5.99
MeanHoo EDC Pocket Tool

Not a lot of ‘multi-functional’ in this little pocket tool but it’s not a lot of money either. There are 4 sizes of box wrenches here (no idea of the sizes) and a bottle opener (size works with most bottle caps). The most versatile thing about this is the number of ways you can attach it – the slot running down the side acts as a pocket clip, then there’s the split ring included in your $5.99 and finally there’s a lanyard hole as well.No excuses for not finding a way to carry this but the usefulness of actually carrying it could mean you don’t bother.

40. MeanHoo Tactical Mini Knife and Combination Gadgets Multi-Tools – $9.99
Meanhoo Tactical Mini Knife

These two 3.5 inch (9 cm) blacked out tactical multi-tools each sport box wrenches of various sizes in their handles. They also each have the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Where they differ in functionality is that one has a mini-knife and the other has a pry bar with nail lifter slot.

41. Boker Plus Hawkit Neck Axe Mini Multi-Tool $29.95
Boker Plus Hawkit Neck Axe Multi-Tool

42. NexTORCH NexTool Monster Mouth Multi-Tool – $11.95
NexTorch Monster Mouth

If you’ve seen a few of these one-piece multi-tools, you can probably guess which tool the Monster Mouth is. Yep, it’s a bottle opener. What’s supposed to look like a nose and eyes are box wrenches in different sizes. The legs of this little monster (2.9 inches (7.4 cms)) are two flathead screwdrivers – one small, one medium. Could be used as a pry bar as well. Between the monsters legs is an open wrench, useful. The stomach is another larger wrench. There’s also an S-Biner to hook your monster onto your keychain or belt.

44. Brous Blades BMT Multi-Tool – $33.95
Brous Blades BMT

The BMT (Brous Multi-Tool) has a bit going its one-piece 2.7 inch (6.9 cm) design. One end has the pry bar with the nail puller slot. Jutting out from the side of the pry bar is the small flathead screwdriver. The cutout in the middle is what Brous Brothers call a gradual hex driver. Other multi-tool makers call these box wrenches but whatever. There’s a seatbelt cutter or use it for cutting rope. Brous Brothers have put a lot of design effort into making the BMT easy to grip when you want to use it. There are 3 edges that feature jimping. They have also included a “thumb divot” to help you put exert pressure while using the pry bar. Finally, Brous Brothers have drilled out some of the D2 steel to reduce weight. All useful stuff for functionality but also gives the BMT a cool look.  Also available in brown, black, blue and tri-color.

This is a new one. An ax in a credit card survival multi-tool! No details of how the ax works but it has to be pretty small if it’s only 4.5 inches (11.4 cms) long. Besides the ax there are 20 other functions. The ones I can see are a saw, scraper, box opener, belt cutter, wire stripper and 4 closed wrench sizes. That’s not 20 so there must be a lot of hidden ones in this Made in U.S.A. It certainly looks a solid piece.

46. Timberline +B Design Mini Knife Multi-Tool – $17.00
Timberline 4905 +B Multi-Functional

This 2.8 inch (7 cm) multi-tool is different than many one-piece multi-tools as it has a 1.5 inch (3.8 cm) mini knife blade. It can also cut rope or paracord with its cord cutter. Another not so common tool is an oxygen wrench. Back into the mainstream of multi-tool features is the inclusion of a flathead screwdriver and the most common of all tools, a bottle opener. Because it’s has a blade, handily, you get a sheath to carry it and a lanyard hole and the lanyard to go with it for easy grabbing.

47. Keyport MOCA 10-in-1 Key Tool – $12.00
Keyport MOCA

Compatible with Keyport’s Pivot system of key carry’s, this 10-in-1 one piece multi-tool packs a fair amount into its 2.7 inches (6.9 cm) length. Starting with a large flathead screwdriver which is sharp enough on the corner to be used as a scoring tool at one end, and the lanyard hole or split ring hole at the other. In between, you get a cord/seatbelt cutter and 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8 wrenches with hex driver (no bits included) and a ruler. Measure stuff up to 2 inches. If it’s longer, reposition and repeat! Top all this off with my favorite and every multi-tool makers favorite tool – the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Amazon

48. Meanhoo Camping Hiking BBQ Pocket Tool – $9.99

This is a “buy one, get a bonus multi-tool for free” deal. What you get is two one-piece multi-tools. The main multi-tool is the one with the skull on it. Apparently, this will draw lots of compliments so be sure to pull this out of your pocket and impress the heck out of your friends. They’ll be stunned to see that it has 11 functions including box wrenches, box cutter, pry bar, scoring tool, screwdrivers and last but far from least – a bottle opener. The second one-piece adds to the toolset by including a ruler and more box wrenches. Comes in a few finishes as well.

Available from Amazon

49. Boker Plus Toucan Neck Knife – $27.10
Boker Plus Toucan Neck_

The big hole in the middle of this 3 inch (7.5 cm) one-piece multi-tool has a couple of purposes. Firstly it helps to give it the look of a Toucan and secondly it allows the included Kydex (some sort of synthetic material I assume) sheath to be attached. The sheath is designed to allow you to carry this little knife multi-tool around your neck. If that’s too conspicuous for you, just slip it into your pocket. The knife is the main tool but this also includes a pry bar with a nail puller slot and a flathead screwdriver. Of course, it also has the compulsory bottle opener.

Available at Amazon

50. Leatherman Number 1 Mini Multi-Tool – $11.00
Leatherman Number 1

The first in the Leatherman By The Numbers range, the Number 1 follows the same design path as other numbers in the range. The difference here is the wrench standard used. This one uses English sizes, others use Imperial or Metric. Like the others in this range, you get a Flathead screwdriver, a Phillips screwdriver, and a box opener. And a bottle opener of course. Hook this 2.5 inch multi-tool to your keychain.

Available at Amazon or KnifeCenter

51. Crocobiner Multi-Tool Carabiner – $31.00
Crocobiner

Yep, a carabiner shaped like a crocodile. Along the crocodile’s back are a row of 5 different sized hex keys and in between the hex bits are different sized imperial and metric open wrenches. The croc’s mouth can be used as a gripper to do stuff like a spoke wrench. The front legs are the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. You can use the middle cut out to hold a hex bit and use the croc’s eye as a hex driver. There are a flathead and a Phillips screwdriver too. Comes in brushed, polished and sandblasted finishes.

Available at Jebiga

52. Lil Trucker Off Grid Survival Ax – $89.00
Lil Trucker

The Lil Trucker is an ax that’s more than an ax and more like a survival multi-tool. In its 11.7 inch (29.7 cm) length it has too many functions to list here but covers many of the tools we are used to seeing in our multi-tools. Hex wrenches, pry bar, nail puller, blade and wire stripper are here. Plus some tools we don’t see all the time such as a hammer head and claw and demolition grip teeth. They didn’t forget the compulsory bottle opener either. Too big to hang off a keychain but a useful tool to throw in your bug out bag.

Available at Innovation Factory

53. Ti2 Para-Biner PB-4 Copper – $60.00
Ti-2 Para-biner V2 – Copper

This titanium copper colored para-biner looks good with its contrasting blue anodized gate. A number of wrench sizes are here as well as a 1/4″ hex bit driver. On one end there’s a pry bar and scraper with a corner that’s a screwdriver. Use the edge to open boxes and as a scorer. There’s the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener here as well. The Ti2 para-biner comes in a few different versions. The front half stays the same but the bottom half changes and offers different functions. There are imperial and metric versions and different finishes. Mix and match to get your perfect para-biner combination.

Available at Ti2 Design

54. Leatherman Number 5 Mini Multi-Tool – $13.00
Leatherman Number 5

The Number 5 here has 6 functions packed into its 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) length and none of them is a blade. That’s because The whole Leatherman By The Numbers multi-tool range is TSA compliant so none of them have a blade of any description. What the Number 5 does have is 5 English open wrenches and 5 metric box wrenches. Add a small flathead screwdriver, a box opener and top it off with a ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Hook it onto your keychain with the lanyard hole if you like.

Available at Amazon or KnifeCenter

55. SOG MacV Skull Multi-Tool – $14.00
SOG MacV

14 functions in the shape of a skull and blacked out for tactical operations. That’s the MacV from SOG. The unusual tool included here is the blade sharpener. You wouldn’t want to rely on this little sharpener as your main knife sharpener but if you’re caught out in the wilderness with a blunt blade, this might get you out of strife. You’ve also got a few screwdrivers – a small flat, a large flat and a Phillips. Then there are 3 wrenches – 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 – plus a 1/4″ hex bit driver. Don’t forget the pry bar, nail lifter and of course, a bottle opener.

Available at Amazon or KnifeCenter

56. TT-Chopper Pocket Tool – $45
TT Chopper

The unusual feature on the TT-Chopper is the twist assist. See the side with the indented curve with the gimping – that’s the twist assist. I guess you hold it firmly against something with the same round shape and it’s supposed to grip it and help you turn it. I guess it could work. It would also help to grip this little 2.25 inch (5.7 cm) multi-tool. There’s also a gripper which is a cutout shaped like a raindrop. That’s it for the gripping tools. On one end is the light pry bar with a small nail remover and wire stripper. The shape of the pry bar means it can be used as a flathead screwdriver and box cutter. which is designed to be used as a box cutter. There’s also a 1/4″ hex bit driver that doubles as the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Pockettools and Knives

57. Kershaw K-Tool Keychain Multi-Tool – $5.99
Kershaw K-Tool

Not too much ‘multi’ in this multi-tool but what this 2 inch (5 cm) blackwashed Kershaw does have is a flathead screwdriver and what looks like a small pry bar. Could be put to service as a large flathead as well. There’s a cutout for a lanyard or split ring to attach to your keychain. And of course, it has the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. All this in the shape of the letter ‘K’. I wonder why Kershaw called this the K-Tool?

Available at Amazon or KnifeCenter

58. Gerber Shard Keychain – $7.95
Gerber Shard

The 7 functions of the Gerber Shard come in a stealthy and corrosion resistant titanium nitride finish. The brand and model name is nicely embossed on its 2.75 inch (7 cm) side. The design is dominated by the circular cutout which serves the obvious function of a lanyard hole. A design upgrade tip for you Gerber – why not make this hole a 1/4″ hex driver holder instead? There’s also a pry bar with nail puller slot. The ends of the pry bar are supposed to be used as a flathead screwdriver but they are so thick, it’s going to be hard to find a screw head that they will fit. Finally, there’s the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Amazon or KnifeCenter

59. Nite Ize DoohicKey Keychain Multi-Tool – $4.99
Nite Ize DoohicKey

The feature that sets the DoohicKey apart from a lot of other one-piece multi-tools is the carabiner that you can hook onto your favorite keychain, belt loop or bag strap. The inside of the carabiner is cut out to make a closed box wrench for 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 nuts and bolts.

For the latest multi-tool images and other cool EDC stuff, follow me on Instagram

The other end of this 2.6 inch (6.5 cm) multi-tool is a big flathead screwdriver that can be used as a box cutter or maybe even a pry bar. There’s also a metric ruler on one side and an Imperial one on the other. Top it all off with the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Amazon and KnifeCenter

60. Columbia River Jesper Voxnaes Pryma Carabiner Multi-Tool – $9.95
Columbia River Jesper Voxnaes Pryma

Knifemaker Mr Voxnaes has designed an impressive little keychain multi-tool in a black stonewash finish for CRKT. The tip is a scraper and can also be used as a pry bar and is sharp enough for a box opener. One of the cutouts is for the 1/4, 3/8, 5/16 and 7/16 inch closed box wrenches. Unusually for one-piece multi-tools, there’s a ceramic glass breaker. I’m not sure how you use it but apparently, the two pieces that jut out from the sides is where you put your fingers. Jesper hasn’t forgotten to add the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener into his design so your beverage opening functions are handled here. Attach it to yourself and your stuff by the carabiner or there’s also a lanyard hole – so take your pick.

Available at KnifeCenter

61. TT-Skull (G3) Pocket Tool – $15
TT Skull G3

This one-piece multi-tool is unusual for the fact that although it called the skull, I wouldn’t want to be the person with this shape skull. It actually doesn’t look like anything in particular. It just looks like a bit of metal shaped to fit the functions in it. Revolutionary! This lump includes 8 functions, or 9 if you get the version with the optional box cutter. Some of the functions serve 2 purposes. The wingnut driver is also a key ring slot. The small wire stripper can also be used as a gripper. And the flathead screwdriver can be pressed into service as a pry tip. The 1/4″ hex bit driver can be used only as a bit driver and the bottle opener just does what it says. All very straightforward and nothing fancy here.

Available at Pockettools and Knives

62. Columbia River Viva Keychain Multi-Tool – $7.95
Columbia River Viva Keychain

It’s a 4 inch (10 cm) black-washed multi-tool that can hang off your keychain by using the keyring hole or slip onto your pocket or belt loop. If you do carry it with you, you’ll have a pry bar for prying up stuff – but not nail because there’s no nail puller slot. Instead, the pry bar can be used as a large flathead screwdriver. You’ll have 5 sizes of box wrenches as well and don’t forget the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Amazon

63. Schrade Keychain Pry Tool – $26.97
Schrade Key Chain Pry

As the product name suggests, this titanium (which explains that price!) one-piece multi-tool is centered around its pry bar which can also be used as a scraper and a box opener. The pry bar has a slot for the nail puller function. For your money, you’ll also get 5 Imperial sized closed wrenches and a 1/4″ hex driver. Don’t lose it by attaching this to yourself using the split ring hole. With all this functionality, Schrade couldn’t have forgotten to include the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener – thankfully they have you covered there.

Available at Amazon

64. tactikOwl Rig Wrench Multi-Tool – $70.00
tactikOwl Rig Wrench Multi-Tool

Technically not a one-piece multi-tool, because it has some removable Torx and Hex bits. The Rig Wrench is aimed at Jeep owners so the Torx and Hex sizes can be used to remove parts of your Jeep (or someone else’s Jeep – with their permission of course). There’s also a flathead and Phillips screwdriver and 1/4″ bit driver. Of course, it includes the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Have a look at the shape of this multi-tool. Remind you of something? That’s right, it’s the iconic Jeep grill. Use the headlight to attach it to your keychain. Clever.

Available at KnifeCenter

65. Schrade Titanium Rescue Multifunctional Pry Tool – $53.32
Schrade Titanium Rescue Multi-Functional Pry

With a name as long as this, you would think this one-piece multi-tool was at least a foot long. It isn’t, it’s only 3.4 inches (8.6 cm) long but includes a lot of functions. A couple of those functions are in the name. It has a pry bar with a nail puller slot. The ‘rescue’ in the name refers to the seat belt/cord cutter. Nuts and bolts duties are covered by the 5 Imperial sized open wrenches and 5 metric sized closed wrenches. Finish off with a 1/4″ hex bit driver, flathead screwdriver and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener and you’ve got a handy, if not cheap, titanium stonewashed multitool.

Available at KnifeCenter and Amazon

66. Liong Mah Designs Xeno Titanium Multi-Tool – $100.00
Liong Mah Xeno Titanium

OK, it’s titanium so that accounts for some of the high price of this 5 inch (12.5 cm) multi-tool. It’s designed by the well-known knifemaker Liong Mah so that might justify some of the price. Still, there isn’t anything special about the tools included for your $100. You get 5 closed wrench sizes and a 1/4′ hex bit driver (you don’t get the hex bits for your money). There looks like there’s a flathead screwdriver or it could be a pry bar but there is definitely the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Carry this around either by the pocket clip or the lanyard ring. Whatever you do, don’t lose it. Liong Mah has designed basically exactly the same multi-tool for CRKT called the Viva (in this list). The only real differences – it isn’t made of titanium and it costs $92.05 less!

UST Tool A Long Multi-Tool Carabiners

UST has gotten creative and produced a line of multi-tools all shaped like an object or animal you can recognize. They’ve put “Carabiner” in the product name not because it has a carabiner built into the multi-tool but because each of the shapes has a separate carabiner attached. Each shape has a different set of functions, so choose the functions you want and the shape you like and clip the carabiner to your belt loop.

85. Munkees Carabiner Multi-Tool – $7.95
Munkees Carabiner Multi-Tool

This black stonewashed stainless steel and 2.6 inch (6.6 cm) long multi-tool features a well-sized carabiner you can use to attach this to yourself or stuff you carry with you. Space has also been given to a 1/4″ hex bit driver and 3 closed wrench sizes. At one end, there is a small flathead screwdriver on one corner and a Phillips screwdriver on the other. Of course, Munkees have included the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. The design, if you can call it design, is an odd shape which looks like Munkees decided which tools they wanted to include and then just jammed them all together. If you want an unusually shaped multi-tool, this might be the one for you.

Available at KnifeCenter

86. Leatherman Piranha 2 – $14.99
Leatherman Piranha 2

I’m cheating here because the Piranha 2 isn’t a one-piece multi-tool because it has a separate rubber bit holder that will handle Leatherman double-ended bits (sold separately). The “2” in the product names tells you this is a second version of the Piranha and although it’s the same 3.9 inches (9.9 cms) length as the original this one packs what Leatherman say are 7 functions.

For the latest multi-tool images and other cool EDC stuff, follow me on Instagram

They are being modest here because a lot of brands would count the 6 open Imperial wrench sizes and the 5 metric closed wrench sizes as 11 functions right there. Leatherman calls that just 2. Add to that a box cutter and opener, a scrapper, 1/4″ hex bit driver and flathead screwdriver and the tool count is really adding up. Don’t forget the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener and the pocket clip. Count carefully and I make that 20 functions. Could make it worthwhile being bitten by the Piranha!

Available at KnifeCenter and Amazon

87. Navy Pocket EDC 2001 – $15.99
Navy Pocket EDC

The featured tool on the 2.9 inch (7.4 cm) K1001 is the blade. You’ll want to have some strength in your fingers as the length won’t allow you to get more than a couple of fingers on the grip to use the knife. Besides the blade, there are 7 metric box wrenches and one of them you can use as the 1/4″ hex bit driver. There’s a metric ruler on the back side and Navy has managed to fit in the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Amazon

88. 10-in-1 Titanium Pocket Tool – $69.00
10-in-1 Titanium Pocket

Not one-piece or credit card but too good to leave off this list. The second piece of this multi-tool is a steel insert that helps the TPT reach it 10 tool count. A mini pry bar and scraper, a small and a medium flathead screwdriver, 1/4″ hex bit driver (hex bits sold separately), something to measure with, metric and Imperial socket sizes. Unusually it has an internal magnet that reduces the noise of the insert rattling around in the titanium frame. The insert with the 3 prongs can be used as a camping fork amongst other things or can be swapped out for standard utility blades. Not unusually it has the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Carry it in the included leather sheath that has a pocket for a spare insert and the small lanyard is standard to make it easy to grab.

Available from Gallantry

89. Leatherman Piranha 2 – $70.78
Boker Plus Cop Tool Knife

If this multi-tool is good enough for Roy Huntington then it’s sure good enough for me. Don’t know who Roy is? No, me either but apparently he’s a 20 plus year veteran police officer who developed and tested this tool knife. It’s some different than most one-piece multi-tools in this list. Look at that G-10 handle for gripping the 6 inch (15 cm) length and the neat lanyard for easy access. The serrated blade is especially good for cutting rope and the strap cutter for rescue operations. It’s longer than average length makes it a good lever and pry bar and chisel. It comes standard with a leather sheath so you can carry on your waistband.

90. Dalla Costa Fabio P-tool XL – €40 ($47.48 approx)
Dalla Costa Fabio XL

It’s all relative, “XL” (Extra Large) in this case means this multi-tool is all of 2.9 inches (7.4 cm) long. The big part is the pry bar with nail puller slot. The sharp corner can be used as a box opener and the other side as a scraper. There’s a cord cutter, 1/4″ hex bit driver and a lanyard hole. Carry a hex bit secured by the rubber gaskets. I think that’s a window breaker on the end of the XL. Other tools available.

Available at coltelleriadallacosta.it

91. Dalla Costa Fabio Saw Caliper – €35 ($41.55 approx)
Dalla Costa Fabio Saw Pincher

See the saw machining done by hand by this Italian tool maker. It’s not perfect but that’s part of the charm of a piece like this. Seems like the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener has made it’s way to Italy as we’ve got one here. Also, there’s a gripper function that acts like a pair of pliers – that’s the open mouth bit on the end. A lanyard hole or use it to attach to your keychain. Other tools available.

Available at coltelleriadallacosta.it

92. Dalla Costa Fabio Tool Titanium – €35 ($41.55 approx)
Dalla Costa Fabio Titanium Tool

This imaginatively named little one-piece multi-tool is only 2.4 inches (6 cms) long and made of titanium. There’s a pry bar, a hex bit driver, a small flathead screwdriver and a large one which can also be used as a scraper. Don’t forget the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener and attach a lanyard or hang it off a split ring on your keychain. Other tools available.

Available at coltelleriadallacosta.it

93. One Piece Multi-Tool Wrench – $6.99
One Piece Multi-Tool Wrench

This imaginatively named tool draws attention to its hex wrench features. Probably because the 6 wrench sizes take up most of the real estate on this 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) one-piece. There’s a pry bar at one end and a flathead screwdriver at the other and a nail puller as well. I’m not sure what the triangle cutout is for though. Ruler markings along the sides for measuring stuff plus, unusually, a saw tool along the side. It would be interesting to see how this carries. There’s a hole to attach this to a split ring on your keychain but would the saw catch on things like your clothing. No pouch but there is thankfully the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at The Multitool Shop

94. Fish Pocket Multi-Tool – $8.99
Fish Pocket Multi-Tool

Makers love to design and name their tools after an animal or object or in this case a fish. They don’t say what type of fish but by the looks of the aggressive jaw that functions as the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener, this is probably something like a piranha. The eye of the fish is a 1/4″ hex bit driver. Add to that the 5 imperial sized and 5 metric sized box wrenches. The Fish can also be used as a knotting buckle tool. I hope you know what that is and why it’s useful because I don’t.

Available at The Multitool Shop

95. 15 in 1 Multi-Function Cycling Wrench – $6.99
15-in-1 Multi-function cycling wrench

The Multi-Tool Shop guys are masters at naming their multi-tools. The product name tells it like it is but unfortunately, the guys aren’t so good at listing what functions are included. What we do know is that this is another tool for bicyclists. I count 9 closed wrenches and 2 open wrenches. One of the closed ones would also be able to be used as a hex bit driver. Sticking out of one end is a flathead screwdriver. Also packed into its 6 inches (15 cms) length is the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. That’s only 13 so I must have missed a couple. See if you can find them.

Available at The Multitool Shop

96. 20-in-1 Pocket Keychain Multi-Tool – $5.99
20-in-1 Pocket Keychain Multi-Tool

The guys from The Multi-Tool Shop have done it again. Yes, this tiny 2.1 inch (5.3 cm) pocket multi-tool apparently has 20 functions. I can see a lanyard hole, a couple of box wrench sizes and an open wrench. I can see a belt cutter/cord cutter/wire stripper. I can see a large flathead screwdriver and possibly a Phillips screwdriver. I can see a pry bar with what looks like a small and a medium flathead screwdriver. That could be a nail puller slot but they don’t usually look like that. That’s about it besides the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. So by my count, that’s 15 but I’m sure I’ve missed a couple. Pretty handy for a $6 2 inch one-piece multi-tool.

Available at The Multitool Shop

97. Self Defense Multi-Tool Wrench – $6.99
Self Defense Multi-Tool Wrench

This is where The Multi-Tool Shop’s product naming really comes into good use. At first glance, I would have noticed the wrench functions but I wouldn’t have picked that this multi-tool can also be used as a defensive weapon. The shape of the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener has cunningly been shaped to sit firmly in the palm of your closed hand with your first and second fingers clenching the convenient indents around the wrenches. The flathead screwdriver at the other end makes a good point. I count 7 closed wrench sizes. There are a couple of holes for attaching this 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) multi-tool to your keychain so you can keep it with you at all times.

Available at The Multitool Shop

98. Vargo Titanium Swing Blade Bolt – $29.95
Vargo Swing Blade Bolt

This version of the Vargo Swing Blade includes all the tools of the classic but adds an 8, 10 and 13mm open wrenches. Doesn’t lose any functionality so why not go for this version? Of course, if you don’t think you need the wrenches but would prefer a money clip, look below.

Available at Amazon and Option Gray

99. Vargo Titanium Swing Blade Tool Clip – $29.99
Vargo Swing Blade Tool Classic and Money Clip

This version has the same functionality as the ‘Classic’ but adds a money clip and deletes the flathead screwdrivers. Pretty cool if you want to carry a credit card sized blade with your credit card and maybe a bit of cash as well. Open your favorite beverage and attach a lanyard or hang off a split ring on your keychain.

Available at Amazon and Option Gray

100. CU Healthy Products – The Copper Shark Utility 2 – $39.99
CU Copper Shark

If you’re looking for something a little bit different for the person who has all the usual one-piece multi-tools, this one could be for you. The Copper Shark isn’t just anodized or painted a copper color, it’s actually made of copper. CU Healthy Products have used Revere antimicrobial copper to get your hands away from germs. So yes it has the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener to open a refreshing drink but the Copper Shark is designed to also be used to open lever-style door handles, flush toilets, poke elevator buttons. Anything in public places that doesn’t get cleaned very often. It’s got a couple of other tools – a 1/4″ hex bit driver and there are a pry tool and a screwdriver as well. But the real use is to hang this off your keychain and use to cut down the germs you would normally pick up. If that’s your bag, then the Copper Shark is for you.

Available at The Copper Shark

101. Tuls | Ollie Titanium Credit Card Pocket Tool – $33.00
Tuls Titanium Credit Card Multi-Tool

This credit card pocket tool looks more like something an art or design student might have carried 10 years ago. That’s because it has a protractor, metric and imperial ruler and lots of holes cut out without it being clear what they are there for. Apparently, they are standard gauges for dowel sizes, rod stock, wire, drill bits or bolts. All the sizes are laser etched into the titanium so they won’t wear off. More up the usual credit card multi-tool alley is a range of imperial and metric sized closed wrenches. There’s also a 1/8″ hex bit driver and a pry bar. To brighten your day there’s a smiley face cutout – a first in multi-tools as far as I know. There might be some weird tools here but Tuls didn’t forget to find space for the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener.

Available at Amazon

102. Tuls | Lucy Stainless Steel Credit Card Pocket Tool – $22.00
Tuls Lucy Credit Card Multi-Tool

A sister credit card multi-tool to the Ollie listed above, Lucy is a cheaper version, not just because it’s fabricated from the less expensive stainless steel to Ollie’s upmarket titanium but also because it has fewer functions. The price and simplicity of Lucy may suit you fine. Dominated by 7 metric sized closed wrenches and the same number of imperial sized closed wrenches. There are the 1/8″ hex bit driver and the lanyard/keyring hole and of course, Tuls wouldn’t have sacrificed the compulsory ‘bottle opener’.

Available at Amazon

103. United Cutlery Kommando Pocket Rescue Tool – $7.99
Kommando Credit Card with Rope

The Kommando (must add to the cool factor by using a “K” rather than a “C”!) differs from other credit card multi-tools in two ways. Firstly, it has paracord wrapped around it. There’s not enough here to rappel down a cliff face but could come in handy for us MacGyvers in securing something to something else in an emergency.

For the latest multi-tool images and other cool EDC stuff, follow me on Instagram

Makes it bulkier and harder to fit into the credit card slot in your wallet but you don’t have to keep it wound on there if you don’t think you’ll use it. The second feature is the morse code for S.O.S and HELP is etched into it. Besides that there’s the usual credit card tool fare with flathead screwdrivers, ruler, 4 wrench sizes, saw, cord cutter and box opener. Of course, there’s the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Comes with a waterproof pouch and a neck lanyard if you don’t want to put it in your wallet.

104. Enigma Pocket Tool by Pangea Designs – $30.00
Enigma Pocket Multi-Tool

The main feature of this little pocket multi-tool is its ability to loosen off those harder than you expect twist top caps. Just pretend in front of your drinking buddies that you could easily have done it with your bare hand then pull out your titanium Enigma and whip off the cap. You won’t be beaten by the usual bottle tops either as Pangea Designs have you covered with the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener as well. Want to pry other stuff, yep, it has a pry bar as well and 4 sizes of hex wrenches. Carry hooked onto your pocket and it has 4 lanyard holes too so take your pick.

105. Machine Era Multi – $36
Machine Era Multi-Tool

Not so big on the “multi” but big on design, this titanium 2.5 inch (6.4 cm) one-piece has a Phillips and a flathead screwdriver as well as a pry bar. Along either side are ruler markings for Imperial and metric measurements. Topping off the toolset is the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Attach to your keychain through the finger hole provided.

Available at HiConsumption

106. Rumbadock Survival Multi-Tool Card Sized – $10.86
Survival multi-tool

This credit card sized multi-tool must have one of the longest product names on Amazon. It has more words in its product name than functions – 24 words versus 22 functions. The survival tools are designed to be cut out of the card and used. Reminds me of the sort of pack you pull out of the box to make a model plane. You’ve got barbed fishing hooks, small game arrowheads, broadhead and a spearing trident plus an awl, sewing needles and tweezers (to pull out the hook you stuck yourself with). There are a saw and plenty of keychain holes so you can hang this off your bug out bag.

107. Dalla Costa Fabio Multi-Tool Titanium – €50 ($59.35 approx)
Dalla Costa Fabio Multi-Tool

This little titanium multi-tool is handmade by an Italian tool and knife maker working out of a small workshop in Thiene, Italy. He often doesn’t have stock of these little gems so you will need to wait for him to make one for you which could take a number of months. The wait is worth it though once you get one of these in your hands. This one includes a pry tool with an edge which can double as a box opener. There’s also a flathead screwdriver, lanyard hole and what looks like a 1/4″ hex bit driver. Because they’re machined by hand, each one will be finished slightly differently. For me, this adds to the “custom-ness” of it all. Email to order.

Available at coltelleriadallacosta.it

108. Dalla Costa Fabio Fire-tool – €55 ($65.30 approx)
Dalla Costa Fabio Fire Steel

Another practically one-piece multi-tool from this custom toolmaker from Italy. The Fire-tool is a pry bar, scraper and box opener with a flathead screwdriver. The main feature is what gives the Fire-tool its name. The Ferro stick is held in place with 2 rubber gaskets. A cool detail is that the rubber gaskets are positioned by indents shaped into the steel. Use the sharp edge of the pry bar to strike the Ferro stick. Presto, fire started!

Available at coltelleriadallacosta.it

109. Dalla Costa Fabio Stright1 – €50 ($59.35 approx)
Dalla Costa Fabio Straight 1

Carried in a kydex sheath with a pocket for your favorite hex bit. You’ll want to carry one so you can make use of the hex bit driver here. Also, there’s a pry bar at one end, a bottle opener and on the other is what looks like a window breaker but could be a flathead screwdriver. The handle comes wrapped in green paracord.

110. Wolkstore Tactical Multi-Functional Pocket Ring – $3.69
Wolkstore

The “tactical” part of this one-piece multi-tool is its color – black. Besides being black it boasts a pry bar with a nail puller slot. Use the edge of the pry bar as a box cutter and the nail puller slot for stripping wire. 6 sizes of closed wrenches and what looks like a 1/4″ hex bit driver. Of course, the designer has managed to fit the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener in its 3.5 inches (9 cms) length.

Available at Amazon

111. HexFlex Adventure Multi-Tool – $23.79
HexFlex Adventure Tool

This snowflake-shaped 2.5 inch (6.4 cm) multi-tool comes in a stealthy black, silver or stonewashed finish and has 15 functions. There’s a metric version and an Imperial version so make sure you get the right one or maybe get both. Each of the 6 arms of the snowflake has a different tool. There’s a #2 and #3 Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver that can be used as a box cutter, 3 hex bits #3, #4 and #5. Between the snowflake arms, there are open wrenches – 1/4, 5/16, 7/16, 1/2 and 9/16 inch plus 10 and 12 mm. There’s a hole to hang the HexFlex off your keychain and of course the ‘compulsory’ is present an correct.

112. Credit Card Multi-Tool EDC 60 Tools-in-One – $23.00
Credit Card EDC Multi Tool 60 Tools in One

Wow, 60 tools in a credit card sized multi-tool! This multi-tool was created by MRF Multitools and funded through an Indiegogo campaign and is one of the most functional looking one-pieces on the market in my opinion. Too many functions to list here but some of them are a blade, scraper, pry bar and box opener, a dozen wrenches – half imperial and half metric, sundial, sketching tools, survival ax and of course the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. There’s a leather case to carry it or treat it like a credit card and put it in your wallet.

Available via Indiegogo

113. B.A.T. Trident 12 Function Mini Multi-Tool – $35
BAT Trident

The Bring Anywhere Tool (B.A.T.) Trident (from the 3 fork prongs) has a cutting edge and scribe and punch. These things would be a good chance of sticking you if you put them in your pocket so luckily the B.A.T. comes with a Kydex pouch. You can use the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener while it’s still in the pouch. If you feel like taking the risk, you can hang it off your keychain using one of the key ring holes. Besides the flathead and Phillips screwdrivers, there’s a ferro rod attached with O-rings and a fire rod sparker to get the fire started.

Available at Covert Products Group

114. B.A.T. Coin – $32
B.A.T. Coin

Another Bring Anywhere Tool from the Covert Products Group. This one apparently shaped like a coin but better than a coin in that it has 10 functions. A modified Phillips screwdriver (it’s missing one of the prongs so the Coin can sit flat on one side), flathead screwdriver, box opener, serrated fire steel (ferro stick) scraper, scribe point, friction saw and a wire stripper. None of the functions are sharp enough to worry your pocket so you can throw this coin in with your other coins without it eating a hole in your jeans.

Available at Covert Products Group

115. Kopis Designs STK – $200.00
Kopis Sliding Tool and Knife

There are a couple of things going on here with the Sliding Tool and Knife. Firstly, it’s main functions are focussed on a sliding knife (S35VN steel) that can be locked into position with a frame lock and on the back side of it, there’s a titanium clip to use as a money clip. Or hook onto yourself or a bag. Because you can slide the sharp bits out of the titanium frame, you can every day carry the STK without sticking yourself. The sharp bits include on one edge a scraper/push cut edge and another edge for slicing jobs. There’s another edge you use for prying or as a flathead screwdriver. So what you’re getting are 3 different edges that are sharpened by hand to different degrees from ‘not very’ to ‘very’ sharp. All these edges have been hand honed which maybe accounts for that hard to ignore high price. There are a few other tool functions as well – a 1/4″ hex bit driver, wire stripper and the center channel for use on wingnuts. Kopis didn’t forget the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener either. Available in a few different finishes.

Available at Kopis Designs

116. Kopis Designs Rift – $90.00
Rift

The main tool on n the 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) titanium Rift is the pry bar or to be totally accurate, the 2 pry bars. Like all reasonably sharp pry bars, they can also be used as scrapers and box openers. In some cases, such as this Rift, they can be used as a large flathead screwdriver. The channel running down the center is used to handle wingnuts or as an oxygen tank wrench. Included are a couple of O-rings so you can carry your favorite hex bit in the channel. The shape of the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener means you can use it as a 1/4″ hex bit driver. Clever. Carry it with the designed in pocket clip or attach it to your keychain with the split ring hole provided. Comes in a few different finishes including anodized and ‘beaten up’.

Available at Kopis Designs

117. JW Knives Hybrid Mini Bar – $225.00
Hybrid

Yes, you read it right, that’s $225 for a one-piece multi-tool which only has 5 functions! Thankfully this isn’t your usual one-piece and is more like an object you pass down to your children. It’s made of copper for the top surface and titanium for the bottom surface. See how the tip of the pry bar is titanium for strength and durability? The screws are titanium as well. The decorative insert is Damascus steel. Besides the pry bar, which can also be used as a flathead screwdriver there’s the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. There’s a couple of hex driver holes as well – look like 1/4″ and 7/16′. If you’re going to carry this rather than just look at it, you can make use of one of the holes to attach a split ring or a lanyard.

Available at Urban EDC Supply

118. JW Knives Titan G5 Bandicoot – $200
JW Knives Titan Bandicoot

Another ‘heirloom’ one piece from the knife maker – JW Knives. The high cost for what looks at first glance like a simple, low tool count, multi-tool is all in the details. The ‘shockwave’ milling and the aggressive gimping on this is impressive. The flush mounted inlay using Mokume steel is custom to each piece and obviously requires a hands-on approach rather than being spat out by a big machine. The main tool is the pry bar which can also be used as a flathead screwdriver. There’s a 1/4 and 7/16 inch hex bit driver here as well and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener hasn’t been forgotten. Pull it out of your pocket easily with the big finger ring or attach a lanyard to it.

Available at Urban EDC Supply

119. Anso Barbar – Titanium – $85
ANSO BarBar

Another one-piece from a knife maker. Anso has designed an unusually shaped compact (2.2 inch (5.6 cm)) keychain multi-tool with a few common tools. There’s a pry bar that can be used as a flathead screwdriver, a 1/4″ hex bit driver and a few holes so take your pick to attach a split ring or a lanyard – or both! The unusual hook on the top left is the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. So even in Denmark, they like to be able to open their favorite beverage at any time. Comes in stonewashed, bronze or blue.

Available at Urban EDC Supply

120. Anso Carabiner V3 – Kobolt Titanium (Limited) – $135
ANSO Carabiner V3

A $135 carabiner sounds a bit rich, doesn’t it? But it is titanium, it’s a limited edition and made in Denmark so maybe that helps to explain it. It’s a 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) multi-tool carabiner, that’s not very multi but does include a pry bar and a flathead screwdriver and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. There’s a green version as well and if you think you would like to pay more for a carabiner, have a look at the $200 Zirconium version. Get one quick and hand it down to your grandchildren.

Available at Urban EDC Supply

121. MYKee – $19.99
MYKee

A lot of one-piece multi-tools on this list are designed to be carried on your keychain and the MYKee is no different in that way. The difference is that this multi-tool actually looks like a key. It’s not going to open any doors for you but it will open a bottle of beer with it’s ‘compulsory’ bottle opener which incorporates a 6mm hex driver. It also has a slot for closed wrench sizes – 6.3, 8 and 10mm.

For the latest multi-tool images and other cool EDC stuff, follow me on Instagram

There’s also a claw which can remove staples and is a 4mm hex driver. The main tool though is the blade which the maker says has been designed to be sharp with being sharp. What they mean is that it’s sharp enough to do a lot of tasks that you need a hard edge for but it’s not going to slice your skin. By my count then, that’s about 7 tools, 8 if you count a hole for a split ring. Not according to the maker though, their site shows that this little key can handle 17 tasks. You see, I didn’t consider that the blade could be used as a Pill Splitter, Lotto Scratcher and Tag Popper amongst other functions!

Available at Koygani

122. Cricket Multi-Tool – $22.99
Cricket

This hexagonal multi-tool uses it’s small 2 inch (5 cm) length to deliver 7 functions. There’s a saw on one of the sides, a ruler on another, a wire stripper, a range of closed hex wrenches, a scrapper and of course the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener amongst others. Available in silver or stealthy black.

Available at Coins for Anything

123. Knuckler Multi-Tool – $19.99
The Knuckler

Same size as the Cricket Multi-Tool and offering much the same tools including cord cutter, wire stripper, closed hex wrenches and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. After you’ve opened a few bottle of beer, the Knuckler seems to refer to this little tool being useful for settling a few bar arguments as well. Comes in silver, cooper and black.

124. Bangle Multi-Tool – $22.99
The Bangle

Not sure where the name comes from or refers to but the Bangle offers a lot of tools. The design is dominated by the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener at one end. At the other end is a small pry bar with nail puller slot. There’s a saw, belt cutter, wire stripper and split ring/lanyard hole. The center has cutouts for 5 box wrench sizes. Also comes in titanium for $16 more.

125. Zootility Tools Wildcard Wallet Knife – $35.00
Zootility Tools Wildcard Wallet Knife

Not a one-piece multi-tool but a two-piece. The second piece is a combo knife with a straight edge and a serrated edge that flips out from the back side of the Wildcard. It stays in position with a liner lock. There are a screwdriver, pry bar and nail puller and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Stick it in your wallet but don’t forget to pack it in your check in luggage if you’re flying somewhere.

Available at Rei

126. Mantis Multi-Tool – $26.99
Mantis Multi-Tool

There are more than 10 functions contained in this 4 inch (10 cm) length. Pry bar on one end and the most effective looking nail puller I’ve seen in a small multi-tool on the other. In between, there are 5 wrench sizes, ruler, saw, flathead screwdriver, wire stripper and the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Comes in silver and black.

Available at Coins for Anything

127. Boss Multi-Tool – $29.99
Boss

A close relative of the Bangle, this one piece multi-tool has a squared off version of the Bangle’s ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. It adds an extra bar to use as a split ring attachment. If stainless steel isn’t your thing, there’s also a titanium version available, just add $16.

Available at Coins for Anything

128. Dagger Multi-Tool – $29.99
Dagger

I don’t know why this is called the Dagger as it only vaguely looks like a dagger. It doesn’t actually have a dagger function but it does have a pry bar that has a slot for a nail puller. The slot means the pry bar can be split into a medium flathead screwdriver and a small flathead screwdriver. There’s 5 box wrenches (1/4″, 1/2″, 5mm, 10mm & 13mm) and a knotless cord tying function – however that works. The top of the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener is sharpened so it can be used as a scraper. Attach the Dagger to your Cloak, I mean keychain, by the convenient hole cutout for this purpose. This version is stainless steel, add $16 if you want titanium.

Available at Coins For Anything

129. Cloak Multi-Tool – $29.99
Cloak Multi-Tool

This multi-tool is the older brother of the Dagger (see above). Like the Dagger, it has a fancy knotless cord tying function. Add to that a scraper, some screwdrivers, a range of closed wrench driver sizes,  a split ring hole for attaching the Cloak to your Dagger, I mean keychain.  Titanium version is available for 16 more of your dollars.

130. The Alpha Multi-Tool – $59.99
Alpha Multi-Tool

The Alpha at heart is a carabiner with benefits. It’s not very clear what those other benefits are though but apparently, there are a total of 10 functions. Besides the usual functions of the carabiner, add the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener function. I can see there are 8 box wrench sizes, one of them looks like a 1/4″ bit driver. There’s a ruler here as well and a pry bar with nail puller slot. It’s a good looking design with its squared off design and edges and it would want to be something special for the $60 price. I assume it’s made of titanium for that price at least!

131. Parachute Multi-Tool – $23.99
Parachute Multi-Tool

Another 10 function multi-tool named after its vague resemblance to a parachute. This one is 3.5 inches (8.9 cms) and includes a few wrench sizes, a scrapper, saw, ruler, ‘compulsory’ bottle opener and a hole to attach your split ring to carry the Parachute on your keychain. Available in silver or matt black.

Attach it to your keychain with the provided split ring hole and don’t forget the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener. Get the titanium version for only 5 silver dollars extra.

133. Fidelis Multi-Tool – $29.99
Fidelis

Named after the Marine’s motto “Semper Fidelis”, meaning “always faithful” (but you already knew that didn’t you?), the 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) Fidelis helps you out with 11 different tools. Unusually there’s no pry bar here but there’s a nail puller, wire stripper, belt cutter, ruler and saw blade. Count the 9 hex wrenches. The Fidelis will open cans as well as opening bottles. Hang it off your pocket or belt or attach it to your keychain with a split ring. Tick the box and add $10 for an engraved wooden presentation box. Go the whole hog and add another $8 for the titanium version.

134. Ti Tag Multi-Tool – $40.00
TiTag 2

Looking like a defence forces tag and only available in titanium is a hint where this multi-tool gets its name. There are 10 functions including the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener, hex bit drivers, wire stripper, a couple of wrench sizes, scrapper and split ring hole. There’s a wrench here for acetylene and oxygen tanks as well. Engraved box is $10 extra.

135. The Bravo Multi-Tool – $59.99
Bravo Multi-Tool

The Bravo is a titanium carabiner that has 8 tools inside its rectangular shape. Various wrench sizes, hex bit driver, ruler and the ‘compulsory bottle opener’ of course. A sturdy looking tool as you would expect at this price point.

136. The Tango Multi-Tool – $59.99
Tango Multi-Tool

The Tango is the younger brother of the Bravo (see above). He’s a rectangular titanium carabiner but he’s not as well-developed – only 6 functions versus the Bravo’s 8 – but is just as expensive. But if the Tango’s toolset suits you better, this could be the better value multi-tool for you. There’s a ruler, a hex bit driver, scrapper and various wrench sizes. Has the ‘compulsory’ bottle opener like his brother.
